Client Portfolio
Project Summary
A Next.js and Builder.io powered design portfolio that allows a client to easily showcase and update their creative work online.
Creating a Design Portfolio with Builder.io
When a friend asked me to build a portfolio to showcase their design work, I knew the key challenge would be ensuring they could easily update it without writing any code. They needed a professional site that not only highlighted their creative projects but also gave them the independence to manage content on their own.
I built the portfolio using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS. To make content management simple, I integrated Builder.io, which enabled the client to upload their design files and have the site update automatically. This approach meant the portfolio could grow alongside their work without requiring developer intervention. The site also included a contact form to make networking and outreach easier.
This project taught me the importance of selecting the right tools for both the client’s workflow and the long-term sustainability of the site. It was also my first time deploying on Netlify, which helped me expand my deployment knowledge. While the site is functional and visually effective, one improvement I plan to explore in the future is optimizing image performance for faster loading.
